A reinvented flagship
The Mi Pro 2 model sits above the Mi 1S model in Xiaomi's new 2020 range and is the proud successor to the best-selling M365 Pro model, which sees the technology giant introduce a lot more than a simple name change.
The best all-round e-scooter available
The impressive 600W motor will churn out a top speed of 15 mph (25km/h) for a claimed range of approximately 27 miles (45km). Even more impressive is how Xiaomi has managed to squeeze such performance into an aerospace-grade aluminium frame that weighs a mere 14.2 kg.
Other improvements over the M365 Pro predecessor include a fifth-generation smart battery management system that monitors the way you ride and continually optimises the power delivery.
Superior build quality
The Mi Pro 2 is crafted from aerospace-grade aluminium, which is a material you won't find on many other scooters within this price range.
Just like its predecessor, the frictionless quick-release lever at the bottom of the stem will allow you to fold and unfold in a single sweeping motion in under 2 seconds.
Driving modes to match your environment
Amongst the various different preset driving modes, we were particularly fond of the scooter's "Pedestrian" mode, which reduces the acceleration and top speed to 3 mph (5km/h) to help preserve battery power and navigate through people traffic, thus increasing your battery's range at the same time.
No slouch in the safety department, Xiaomi has included upgraded E-ABS braking to the front wheel and a disc brake to the rear will draw you to a safe stop.
There are also improved front & rear lights, as well as a brake light, while a bell completes the safety compliment.
